Katy Kujala-Korpela, Master’s Level Intern (she/her/hers)

Katy has completed her internship hours with us at ERA. If you’d like to connect with her on her next professional step, please check back here for where she’ll be next or email Emily for her contact information.

Supervision and Finances with a Master’s Level Intern

Katy is under the supervision of Jeni Everts Beier, LPC, PMH-C. Jeni may observe Katy’s sessions at times (with client informed consent) and can access, review, and influence clinical documentation and treatment planning. This review is done to ensure that the clients of interns are getting well-informed and comprehensive care.

As Katy is a Master’s Level Intern, work with her is offered at a discounted rate. We hope that this will help increase access to therapy services for those who may not have other options to do so. Some sliding scale or pro bono slots are available with Katy as well. If you are in need of a further discounted rate from what is listed below, please ask about this during your phone consultation. Clients with Medicaid are not eligible to private pay for services (per the terms of their insurance company), but can be offered services on a pro bono basis.

Typically insurance companies will not reimburse out of network services with pre-licensed clinicians. Clients are welcome to request and submit superbills (a special receipt given to your insurance company for reimbursement of out of network services) if they would like, but please be aware that your insurance may not reimburse you for your care.
